You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to give accurate information and to keep it up to date.

You are purchasing a display placement on the My Internet Piece digital wall, subject to these terms. This is a display placement only — it is not a claim of legal ownership over any pixel, domain, or property, and confers no equity, investment, security, token, or expectation of financial return of any kind.

We intend for pieces to remain on the wall for as long as the service operates, and we will use reasonable efforts to keep the service available. We do not, however, guarantee uninterrupted or perpetual availability, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service, or remove content that breaches these terms or our content guidelines.

You retain ownership of the image, name, text, and links you submit (“your content”). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and reproduce your content on the wall and in reasonable promotion of the service. You confirm that you own or are authorised to use your content and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights or breach any law. You must not submit anything unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or in breach of our content guidelines.

Pieces are reviewed before and after publication. We may reject, hide, or remove content that is illegal, infringing, deceptive, hateful, or otherwise in breach of our content guidelines, and free that space back to the wall. You must not misuse the service, attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, or use it to harm others.

You may optionally connect social accounts (such as YouTube, Twitch, Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok) so we can display those accounts and your follower or subscriber count on your piece. You authorise us to access the limited, read-only information described in our Privacy Policy, and you confirm you are entitled to connect each account. Your use of each platform remains subject to that platform’s own terms. You can disconnect any account at any time from your settings.

Prices are shown on the site and are payable in the currency indicated at checkout. Plan subscriptions are sold and billed through Paddle.com, who act as the merchant of record for those purchases and whose buyer terms apply to them; one-off purchases of space on the wall are processed by PayFast. In neither case do we receive or store your full card details. Paid plans renew automatically, monthly or annually as you chose, until you cancel; you can cancel at any time from your billing settings and your plan then runs to the end of the period you have paid for. Any taxes that apply are shown at checkout or are your responsibility unless stated otherwise. Your placement is confirmed once payment is received and your content passes review.

Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

The service, including its name, logo, design, and software, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. These terms do not grant you any right to use our branding except as necessary to use the service.

Except as required by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the piece giving rise to the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008.

You agree to indemnify us against reasonable claims, losses, and costs arising from your content or your breach of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.

We may suspend or terminate your access, and remove content, if you breach these terms or the content guidelines, or where we are required to by law. You may stop using the service at any time.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above and, where the change is material, take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts. Nothing in this clause affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including any right to approach a relevant tribunal or ombud.
