The words
- Cell — the smallest unit of the canvas, one square. Cells cost a dollar each when bought outright.
- Piece — a rectangle of cells belonging to one owner. Your piece is both a place on the wall and the page behind it.
- Handle — the name your page lives at, as in myinternetpiece.com/yourname. Attached to your account, not your plan.
- The wall — the whole shared canvas, which you can pan, zoom and search.
- The map — the companion view, where every dot is a real owner in a real country.
- Nursery band — the outer edge of the canvas where free pixels are placed, keeping the middle for pieces someone chose.
- Generation — how many times the canvas has grown. Growth adds a ring on the outside and never moves an existing piece.
- Dormant — a piece whose plan has lapsed. It stays on the wall, greyed rather than gone, and comes back on resubscribing.
- Founding owner — someone who claimed before the wall filled up. The badge does not expire.
